Angry Alerts not happening

I am a brand new BB user (previously had a TREO) and have had an 8300 Curve for 2 days now. No alerts are coming through (sound or vibration) for e-mail messages being received or for meetings on my calendar. I've set everything I can find in my Profile. What am I doing wrong? Help!

Install the Optus OS from this thread HERE or just download the Calendar Patch. That should fix the calendar alert issues. For the rest, just make sure you are editing the right notification profile, and that it is the active profile.
