Default 8830 T9 Predictive Text

So I keep seeing this feature on all the spec lists but I swear I cannot find it on the 8830 settings. I do see the "AutoText" option but that is different. That only changes words/letters to assigned words. For example if I type "u" it will change it to "you". But there is not window that displays the "predictive text" when I am typing!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Being a full QWERTY keyboard, there is no predictive text. The Auto Text can be edited and words added.

Not sure if that helps but having a full QWERTY keypad negates the need for Predictive Text T9

Interesting...I had the Verizon XV6700 Pocket PC that was a full QWERTY keyboard and it had T9 predictive text.

They call the 8830's version SureType..but some sites list the specs with T9

Like TMag said, there is no T9 / SureType, per se'. Just add common words etc to the autotext section. You can even add a signature that you like to use from time to time...

Since I type CrackBerry.com a lot on the device, I have cb as an autotext, just to give you an example...

Where? I've seen nothing official from either RIM or any carrier that says that the 8830 has either T9 or SureType.
