rSAP BOLD + AUDI bluetooth

Hy,

I just bought an Audi adapter for my phone preparation (8P0051440), to connect my bold using bluetooth.

I achieve to connect it like a handfree hear system, just to use it to ear the sound on the speaker.

But I would like to connect it with SAP (Sim Card Profil). This profil use the car antenna and the phone system is disabled, to let the adapter taking the role of telephone.

When I begin to connect the adapter of the car to the bold, it doen'st give me the SAP code of 16 units, which means that it doen'st see the bold to be compatible. So, I have to use the 0000 code with is used to connect as a handfree system, but no SAP. With an other phone (Samsung Player), it recognize it as SAP, and give me the code. I precise that I try with the same sim card on both phone. I tried to put the same SAP code in my blackberry, that was given with the samsung, but, every add in the system give a new SAP code, it's not a unique "adapter" code..

So my first thinking is the Bold is not SAP compatible, but i read on the audi website, that the bold is compatible, and I found some post everywhere saying they can connect it as SAP. And when I go to the Blouetooth options, I found the choice to activate the Sim Access Profile, so I think the bold is compatible.
I precise that I tried to desactivate the handfree profil in the BB options, and let only the SAP profil, but it doen'st help, it ask me the SAP code (if there is a sentence in the bold asking for a 16 units SAP code, it is because it manage usually SAP), that I don't have, because the AUDI system seem's not to recognize the phone as a SAP Phone and dont give it to me.

So after all this studying, I think the only thing I have to do is to change a parameter in the bold to let the AUDI system recognize it as a SAP phone.
I tried to search from the bold, but it doen'st work, and in the notice, they says if you search in this way, you can only connect as a handfree profil. I tried also with many firmware, in 4 or 5.

Does somebody has the same kind of problem with AUDI, VW or Mercedes?

the problem seems to be that the bluetooth kit doesn't see the bold as compatible...

I just bought an R36 yesterday and tried to connect my BB Bold didn't work tried again today and it worked Steps:

1) Activate bluetooth in your phone.
2) Search from the car for phones available.
3) When you see you phone in the car DON'T click to connect
4) From the phone bluetooth menu click add device and set it to listen
5) Now click connect from the car
6) It will show you the 16 digit code for connection
7) from the phone you will be prompted to enter "Numeric passcode" which has a capacity of 15 characters
8) Press "enter" on you phone keypad it will switch to "Alphanumeric Passcode"
9) Press "alt" and left "caps" to switch to numeric on your phone then key in the 16 digit passcode
10) Press enter on your phone it will prompt with a message saying that SAP is active and BB services are inactive and will only be active after disconnection
11) Leave it at that don't touch the phone unless you want to disconnect it
12) Set the car as authorized on your phone and save the profile in the car (if not done steps will have to be repeated)

You made me dream for this evening until I tried.

My problem is the car doesn't give me the 16 code, it give me only the 0000.
I think it does not see the phone to be rSAP compatible....

It works with a samsung player, but not with the blackberry...

I follow your steps perfectly, but the problem is at 6) .....

I have the same problem with my skoda.
But i's very strange because few days ago my BB worked very well with rSAP (on previous OS - 4.6.1.206(317))
Yesterday I upgraded my BB to 4.6.1.310(456) and my BB stopped cooperation with car bluetooth.

Now before step 10 my BB shows message "audio conection fail" and
car bluetooth displays "connection not possible" or "incompatible
phone"

So now I'm considering downgrade

EDIT: After downgrade to 4.6.1.206(317) everything works fine.
So BB 8900 works with rSAP
