Default Pairing my 8320 with my 8520 not happening

Hi guys, I use bluetooth frequently and have paired my phones with speakerphones and many portable speakers, but trying to connect my 8320 with my 8520 is not happening. I want to transfer songs between the two without hte hassle of connecting cables to the computer and using Media Manager...

So when I set up the connection, both phones recognize each other and appear in the list of devices, with [B]this notable exception: on the 8520, when the 8320 is selected from the list, there is no option to connect[B].
On the 8320, when the 8520 is selected there is a connect option. When that is selected, the phones seem to instantaneously connect ( both devices bold in the list and the blue led flashes on the 8520, but immediately after they disconnect and a message on the 8320 says connection failed. This all happens in a fraction of a second.

I have encryption off, both devices trusted, all that regular stuff.
