Default Motorola H710 + Curve 8530 issue

Alright so I have a Motorola H710. For some reason, when I pair it with my BB and try to use it for phone calls, my callers complain about being unable to hear me.

I hear my callers just fine and the volume is more than loud enough. But it seems there is some type of issue with the microphone volume when using this phone. The only time they can hear me while using the headset is if I remove it from my ear and speak directly into the mic. Even then they still complain about barely being able to hear me.

I've seen a couple of things on the forums about reinstalling a previous version of the OS but those were all related to the volume of the earpiece and not the actual headset's microphone.

Anyone have any ideas?
