can't receive by bluetooth on 8520?

I hope somebody can help, I've set up the bluetooth on my curve 8520 and I can easily send files to other bluetooth devices but no matter what I try I can't get my curve to receive anything by bluetooth.

Other devices can pick me up but are unable to send anything through?

The BlackBerry needs to initiate the transfer, whether sending or receiving. Pair your BlackBerry and your other device. Then go to Media>Pictures (if you want to receive a picture) and press the BlackBerry button. Scroll down to Receive Using Bluetooth. Then send the file from the other device.

Lak is correct. On all OS5 and lower devices you are required to select receive via bluetooth. OS6 does not require this anymore.

Ah okay thanks I'll give that a try. I've been able to pair a device so hopefully that should work.
