Question Problem having to Re-Pair with computer repeatedly

I have a blackberry curve 8330 and a Lenovo laptop. I paired them via bluetooth with no trouble and was able to sync my contacts etc (media files require the USB) but everything else was working great. The next time I booted up... I had to pair again... and again and again... I've paired them probably 20 times or more. This is getting ridiculous! Sometimes, it takes me 2 or 3 tries for the pairing to go thru.... I can't stand it. I called Radio Shack and they said there's a patch out there somewhere and this is a known problem.... go google it. I went I googled... I didn't find a patch that "comes right up" to download. HELP! I'm ready to through it out the window and drive over it with my car!!!

When paired, my BB Curve 8330 will run all audio including calls and voice dialing thru my laptop. It uses an application on the computer called audio gateway. Hope this helps.

I've tested the steps provided. It works!
Just a point to note: for those BB devices registered under "BES" you need to ensure your IT staff have enable the following feature:

Contact the BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator to verify that the following IT policies are set to False:

Disable Desktop Connectivity
Disable Wireless Bypass

Otherwise, if you're running on "BIS" alone, the bluetooth should work fine as per the instruction provided.

Wish you guys all the best of luck ! =)

is syncing via bluetooth a viable option? Will it be with OS 6.0?

Don't know about OS 6.0 but I can tell you that syncing via BT works great for me on my Storm2 (9550) .713

I sync at least once a day, sometimes twice a day. No cable. It's great.

Once a week, I connect the usb cable and do a full backup.

Good Luck

Default Unable to Connect to Computer: Desktop Connectivity and Wireless Bypass grayed-out.

After I updated my BB9900 to the latest Rogers software (7.1 391), I have been unable to connect to Desktop Manager on my computer. I noticed under Bluetooth options that Desktop Connectivity and Wireless Bypass are grayed-out. Does anyone know how to restore these functions in order for the computer to recognize the phone?
