Bluetooth streaming problem

I remember seeing a similar problem, but I was unable to find it so please forgive my ignorance.

I just bought a Sony Ericsson MW-600 stereo headset for A2DP music streaming from my 9700. All works fine until I receive an alert of any kind (email, bbm etc). The headset produces that tone, and if I am playing a song, the player does not resume.

It used to resume on wired headset, so this felt awkward to me. I receive circa 400 emails per day, so it'll be a problem for me if I can not find a workaround.

I am on 656 BTW.

I only found this workaround - disabling all alerts. Anyone has a better idea?

If you're on vibrate it won't interrupt the streaming.
Any sort of audible alerts will.
