Bluetooth and Mac Snow Leopard

I have the Blackberry Curve 8330 and just got a new MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard. I used the Setup Assistant to try and pair it so that I can tether, but something is not working. I keep getting a message that says "Could not open communication device."

I have followed tutorials to no avail. I need to tether and I can't do it in parallels and am about to give up!

i have the storm 2 and its not working with snow leopard either.... It worked flawlessly with storm 1 and leopard.. but not snow leopard.. Any help out there?
