Thumbs down 9700 Bluetooth Issues

Hi all,
I've just got my 9700 a few days ago. It seems that it has problems with the bluetooth pairing with other devices. First, I can't pair it with my car (I'm using handsfree system in my touchscreen radio) which worked just fine with my old bold 9000 for 2 years. Second, I can pair my 9700 with my macbook but it doesn't work the same way with my iMac, which I found weird.

I have pulled out the battery, deleted and re-add devices. I even changed my 9700's bluetooth name. Nothing works.

Anyone can help? Thank you.

RIM has totally effed up BT with the newest OS's.

I used to have flawless BT but now its totally inconsistent and has me pulling battery once a day to get AV control back on my Motorokrs. PITA.

RIM quality control blows lately.

I did hard reset several times, but nothing changed. Still can't pair it with my bluetooth in car system and iMac.

Any other thing I should do? Thx.

delete devices from each other, and put both in search mode and let them seek each other.

best i can think of. thats how i paired my bluetooth piece with my new bold. worked fine out of the box.

also, some devices have a PIN that you might need to enter, which ididn't know about. my bold asked me for a PIN for my bluetooth earpiece. i had to look it up on the earpiece's intruction manual.
