I am currently using a Q10 but I want a Z30. I use to have the Z10 still have it just don't use battery on that phone was horrible couldn't make it to the end of the day. I would say I'm a heavy user though. I sent lots of texts through the day always taking notes for school and parts for work. Also make 3-4 phone calls a day. This phone has never left me stranded but Z10 did. So just curious what you guys have to say about it. Also how's durability?

Z30 is a rock solid device, a far improvement in battery over the Z10. bought mine at launch and never one issue.
IF you can find them "NEW" on the web/ebay, do it! but as of about 3 months ago, they all went, and now all I can see is "used". But, if you find one that is "gently used", you will still be happy.

Sure, in term of performance this phone still can compete with today's new generation phone.

Z30 holds up. The only place it is weak is screen resolution.

I bought a BlackBerry z30 in 2016. While it is a great device for those who they are made for. For others there are a couple of things to look into consideration. Facebook app...don't update it...it becomes a Web link afterwards... iam using the old Facebook and am happy with it but dunno how long this will last. Whatsapp is ending support for whatsapp on bb10 after Dec 31 2016. You can use the android one though... it has hub notifications but not hub integration. So if these things don't matter to you...yeah...then z30 kick butt...I think it's better than even a samsung galaxy s7 edge or an iPhone 6s plus

I wouldn't recommend taking notes on the z30 though.

I always used my q10 for that.

But I do think the z30 is still a very good buy in 2016.

The paratek antenna is amazing and the speakers best in class. Build feels very nice in hand.

Total shame this phone was looked over at this launch.

I've been very happy with my Z30 for the past 1.5 years. Built like a tank, although I recommend a screen protector as I find the screen can be prone to scratches. Also, OS version 10.3.2.2876 (software release 10.3.2.2836) gave my phone issues including terrible battery life. I am currently using OS 10.3.2.2813 with no issues. (Well one issue, I cannot make payments in BB World, I have yet to find a fix for this). Call quality is fantastic.

The app gap is too wide for me, I will likely go Android for my next phone, but until then this Z30 is still going strong!

I'm using BlackBerry Z30 and is good phone. the android OS phones are having sluggish issues and background apps running issues. I have used OS7 and Z10 BlackBerry phones for many years. If you are not cherry pick, may consider pick Z30 ,passports or Dtek50.

Z30 still pretty much does the job for me since my primary needs are decent communication, trustworthy security with my work files and all day lasting battery ; not so much concerned about all those apps & hypes or other gimmicks, so might very well keep this rocking device until forced into the Android marketing stuff. In fact, I'm actually happy I got a Z30 just when it was released, the phone has never disappointed me...!

Typing on my Z30 here. Still going strong. Some people think it's an iPhone at first glance and then they realise the BlackBerry logo. They ask me, "Is this new?". I tell them, "It's new-ish". Lol.

When I bought my Z30 a few years ago I had put on a flip cover and last night I finally put back on the original blackberry cover and my Z30 feels like a brand new phone. Crazy how much lighter it feels with the original cover compared to this heavy flip cover I had.

Performance wise, the Z30 works great. My only issue is the WI-FI range sucks on the latest OS.

I had a Z30 for just over two years when I dropped it out of it's case and cracked the screen. Continued to use it for a few months and then replaced it this last Spring (2016). I still love it. Still the best BlackBerry on Verizon Wireless (VZW) in my opinion (What about the Priv you say? Sorry, that BlackBerry was assimilated by the "Borg"). I'd consider a Passport, but would have to switch carriers to do so. Forget that.
I got a new factory refurbished Z30 for just $125 on Ebay. Well worth it. Still love it. There's no beating the Paratek antenna, 4 microphones, and great speakers. The Z30 was ahead of it's time.

It's good for emails and BBM. But I don't use BBM and it wouldn't get a phone just for emails.
If you use Android apps they are getting really slow. The Android runtime app is stuck on 4.4 Jellybean forever. Something you'll have to consider. There is an app gap. Big time.
People complain it's a phone for business's but it depends. I use Facebook, instagram, pinterest etc for my business. They are an integral part of my business so I couldn't even use this phone to run my business. I need a communication device to talk and interact with my customers and co-workers and can't do it with a BlackBerry10. And BlackBerry Androids are waay over priced for what you get.

The browser is garbage. Used to be good. Apps dropping support for bb10...BlackBerry itself abandoning the bb10 platform....

So no, imho it's not worth getting in 2016 or beyond.

Communication's sent over BBM are NOT secured!

BlackBerry Z30, not a dang thing wrong with it. It does all I need:
    1- Face Box
    2- Tumblr
    3- Instagram
    4- Twitter
    5- Corky Notes
    6- Bing
    7- Mock It
    8- Amazon dot ca
9- Fast Tube and You Tube
    10- Photo Studio Pro
    11- Gadget Box
    12- File Secure
    13- Video Shrinker
    14- KYOCERA Print
    15- Parrot
    16- Handy Scanner
    17- yahoo mail and gmail

No need for any other cell phone at this time...

Classic for work, Z30 for everything else...

OP - If you like a phone with three year old specs, then get a LG G2. The gap between Kitkat, Lollipop and Marshmallow just gets wider. I loved my Z30 but the ART just becomes more obsolete each day. DTEK50 is the Z50 Unicorn that everyone pined for running full blown android with the BlackBerry Hub....they closed the app gap..

I think the Z30 is still the fine phone. It can still run many Android apps that do not rely on phone specs.

You won't be finding new Z30s at this point. So you should be ready to work on the phone yourself if something goes wrong inside (most likely the battery). The Z30 is a very easy phone to work on.
