Some issues with the battery life on the last OS updates. And hit or miss installing one of the leaks. I am on Verizon, so some benefits and drawbacks there.

I'm on Verizon and don't have any problems whatsoever though I never loaded a leak

If you really need a physical keyboard go for the classic. I have to say though that the Z30 exceeded my expectations. I have mine for three days and the more I use it, the more I love it. I can type super fast on it. Plus the big screen is excellent.

What I will say is at least BlackBerry with every other phone they drop they bring something new to the table and the phones keep getting better and better with the iPhone it seems like it's the same thing with a new shell and similar specs and OS wise BlackBerry is years ahead of ios

It's a matter of keyboard vs full touchscreen. Honestly although I'm on the Passport now the Z30 was a great phone and I still have it as backup.

You'll get a nice big screen, great battery life, one of the best virtual keyboards, and like you said not too much of an app shortage.

Well at this point the Z30 and Passport are the most favorable options. If you're used to an iPhone and touch screen then the Z30 is an amazing phone otherwise the Passport is the way to go for the latest and greatest.

The BlackBerry Classic will be a transitional phone at best for those who can't release their death grip on BOLD 9900 and the aging BBOS.

IMO, it's hardly considered to be an upgrade, unless of course you're one of the may holdouts unwilling to sail the seas of Blackberry change to BB10!

It's a smart business move but unappealing to those of us that believe bringing back the tool belt compromises that which is the BB10 gesture based OS. Plus, now that the Passport has that innovative physical touch capacitive keyboard, what's the need for a tool belt?

I really love the Z30. I cam from a 9930 to the z10 to the z30 and I dont miss the keyboard at all. I sometimes have used the 9930 for hiking trips and am a lot slower on the keyboard then the touch screen at this point.

I am in the process of getting the z30 approved today. Since it seems like you guys all use wireless charging for the Verizon model, which QI charger do you have? Does it provide enough power and does the phone get warm or hot while charging it wireless? I have seen many models with some compaints about the sweet spot or heat. thx

I got the Techmatte. From Amazon, it's $22. Works great. Does not heat up the phone.
