Hey guys, so here's my story got a Z10 at lunch day, loved it and then in december went to the dark side and got a note 3, great phone but missing 10 os! So now a got a offer to trade my note 3 for a Z30 bran new still sealed! The only thing I'm worried is the quality of the screen, I know it's 720 p but I'm coming from 1080p. So what do you think should i do the trade, kind of missing bb10 and tired of Google knowing all your life!

Let me put it this way. The Verge said the quality of the 5inch Nvidia Shield which is also 295 ppi is superb. While these same people would say it's not superb on a 5 inch BlackBerry screen.

    The screen is awesome!

I've never used a 1080 screen but the z30 is super crisp and clear.

You won't have any regrets in the move back to bb10!

And yea I would do the trade. No guarantee that the gear would work with the Z30 though.

It's a noticeable step down from my Z2 and every other 1080p screen'd phone I've owned, but it certainly is not a bad screen by any stretch of the imagination.

The Z30 is an awesome phone. Haven't tried the Note 3 but I doubt I could be happier than I am with my Z30. Others may be able to give you a comparison between the two, but I just thought I'd give my two cents worth. I can say that the Z30 is head and shoulders above the Z10 but that is my (and countless others) opinion. Hope you make the best decision for you.

One important thing though is that, coming from a Z10 at least, the Z30's screen is noticeably dimmer (because of different screen types on the two devices)

Well I had a Note 3 and I sold it because for me it was just to big. The screen was nice but even with the bigger battery I was looking for a charger by 4 pm. I have now a Q10 and a Z30 and I love both of them. On my Z30 weeks I have never looked for a charger. I am a regular user, don't think I qualify as a power user. The screen is perfect on my Z30, not as bright as the Note 3 but for what I use it for it is perfect. I have moved back and forth between Google, Apple, WinOS and Blackberry. As you can see I keep coming back to Blackberry. I have found nothing out there that beats the HUB. I absolutely love the HUB. Everything in one place! Who would have thought! Do the trade. You will not be dissapointed.

I went to the Z30 a week ago from a Q10 and so far it has been great. I keep the screen around 25% (cool side) for additional battery life and have not needed it any brighter. Most of may apps are all dark themed and I prefer it that way. You will enjoy the Z30, its worth the switch.

I'm typing this from a z30 after just receiving it today.
    1) the screen is OK compared to the HTC one m7. Some apps look clear and some look muddy so I believe it's a mix of OS and app quality. I do think it could be a lot brighter. Looks good in sunlight though
    2) I too was missing blackberry after having them for so long. However it was nice to have the latest apps and having them constantly updated. I took a step when it comes to apps but I'm sure that's no surprise...yes I have snap installed as well as amazon.
    3) little things like not transferring album artwork bug the hell out of me. The DROID kicked *** in this department and would constantly update artwork after a sync.
    4) speakers are better on the z30
    Speakerphone sounds amazing.
5)keyboard is awesome. I have big fingers and love the z30 keyboard
    6) lack of a unified inbox drove me nuts on droid. It's good to be back for that reason alone.

Lastly I'm torn. Love OS 10. I just wish it was sharper looking. I also like all the fun apps like tinder, snap chat, instagram that are all native. I have 29 more days to decide if I'm going to keep it. Going to be tough.

I have had the Note 3 for about 6 months, and had the Z30 for a couple months as a second phone...trust me, there is a pretty substantial difference between the two. The Z looks fine if you haven't used a N3, but if that's what you're coming from, you may be disappointed.

I've switched to Z30 from Xperia z1. Don't regret one bit.
Z30 Is an awesome phone when it comes to getting things done. Great email app, best keyboard on any phone and I love the hub. All my stuff is in one place and it's so convenient

I do find the display and camera inferior to my old Z1..but then those don't bother me that . much. With all android apps available now I can't complain..

Go for it and do the trade..you won't regret it

The Note 3 will look much much better, owning both and having used them both a lot. However, I always use the Z30 as my primary driver because BB10 makes up for the screen resolution.

I agree. But Z30 is a good looking phone. I do get asked every time I take my Z30 out by people. When I answer it's a BlackBerry - they do get surprised .

But I agree on the screen display. Note does look much better

I doubt the resolution change will bother you. The dimmer screen on the other hand will be very noticeable at first, but I am now used to it coming from a Z10 and using my wife's LG G2 a fair amount.

What I will say for this screen is that the colours are amazing, and my wife even comments on this coming from her LG G2.

What I think you will notice is the amazing build quality of the Z30.

I have also tried every device out there and have been back and forth between Apple, Android and Blackberry, but the Hub keeps bringing me back. I use my phone for my business and having my messaging all in one location has been a huge time saver for me. I also have tried a Note 3 for a week, while the screen is beautiful, the device is way too big to be my daily driver and Android and me don't see eye to eye.

I still think the iPhone 5S has the best form factor of any device out there and the build quality and customer service is second to none, but the screen has become to small for me now. The z30 screen with it's extra real estate has really helped me when it comes to reading and composing emails and messages.

One important feature of OS10 is the ability to download and save a file to the device, I find this feature extremely important when sending and receiving documents to/from my clients. It's little things like this that Blackberry needs to show to market the device properly. Just me two cents.
