    Why is the release always carrier dependent...what's the latest os as I am in the version 10.2.1521 how many update away is this one....

    10.2.0.1521 is the OS that's being pushed out by your carrier.
    10.2.0.1803 is the latest OS pushed out by any carrier, and if a carrier updates, there's generally a news post about it. Like so: BlackBerry OS 10.2.0.1803 officially available from Vodafone | CrackBerry.com
    10.2.1.1055 is the latest OS that the public has, and in this case it isn't a carrier release, but rather a leaked OS.
