Hello,
I'm looking at grabbing a unlocked z30 off Amazon and was wondering if it will work on my Tmobile usa network. Also, will I receive updates if I'm on Tmobile?

Just make sure it's a -005 model and it will work fine with all T-Mobile bands.
I received an update from T-Mobile after I manually updated to 10.2.1, which was weird since it's not a device they carry....but whatever. It was timely and ran well.

Like other people have said, just make sure it's STA100-5, and you'll get LTE in more places.

I don't know about updates from T-Mobile, because sometimes unlocked devices can get updates on their own. My white Q10 didn't get the official T-Mobile 10.2.1 release recently, which was okay because I use leaks.

I don't really encourage side loading of apps, because that can be kind of a hassle, but loading leaks is really easy (if you're on a PC). It took me like ten minutes to follow the instructions for loading leaks on BB10, since it's a little different than on Legacy devices. I would recommend learning how. My unlocked Z30 is on the leak 10.2.1.2947 and it runs flawlessly
