    If it's in GPS mode providing direction it will stay on.

    Are you sure? I am on blue tooth yesterday, driving, map and direction, but the screen keep turning back to the lockscreen. Maybe I didn't set it correctly?

    You could try the Allow Apps to Extend Password Lock Time -> Settings - Security and Privacy - Device Password.

    Time out set to 5 minutes. I remember on 9900 I can set the screen to stay on during driving.
