My beloved Z30 has decided to go slow! Everything from typing to moving in and out of apps, opening emails, FB messages, you name it is in serious go slow! Tried soft boot, hard boot seemingly makes no difference.

    Any ideas?

I feel like my Z30 has grown sluggish over time too. I have downloaded a lot of different android apps on it which I think is the culprit. I may wait for the next major leak to start clean!

Maybe shut it off for 5 minutes or so. Check the device monitor too.

Did you check your memory? Maybe no memory left?

Suggestion: Add an additional memory card and move files to the card to free up internal memory.

That would help with storage not memory.

Edit: How about a storage shot?

    Also:

    1) Check if any apps are running continuously in the background and close some of them.

    2) Also check your app Permissions in Settings and limit certain permissions or access.

    3) As I suggested earlier, add an additional memory card and move some data to it.

    4) Back up your phone using BlackBerry Link.

    5) Run diagnostics on your phone using BlackBerry Link (memory usage, battery, etc.)

    6) You can reload the OS as a last resort. Some dealers have a dedicated device to reload BlackBerry OS's. I did this once for my BlackBerry Torch 2 with OS7.

Try removing the newly installed android apps till you figure out which one of them is causing the problem. An update should be pushed to address how BB10 plays with Android.

I had a similar issue, and then got a notification saying my device storage was almost full. All I did was remove one game (~500MB), and... believe it or not, the CB10 app. My free storage shot up to 2.5GB. I then re-installed the CB10 app and all seems fine so far.

    Silly CB10 app.

Seems we are getting confused with memory and storage space. The screen is showing memory which my be low but memory gives and takes and is constantly changing on how much is free. Storage space on the other hand is static beyond temp files etc. so yes if the OP's storage space, not memory is low, then moving stuff will help.

    Hi
Yesterday I wiped my device for the same reason. Format and erase my sd card.

But all the applications back. No side loaded no apk. And all good so far.

Download taskmanager from appworld. It will allow you to kill any android apps that are running in the background.

I understand the difference, but I was experiencing similar sluggishness and around the same time received the low storage notification. Coincidence? Maybe, but... figured I'd throw it out there for the OP since usually the common denominator for people posting here is.... the CB10 app.

Agree but again we don't want people thinking because their memory is low that moving files to an SD card will fix that.
