    Recently got a z30 and I find if I'm a few clicks past 1/2 volume a lot of the noises makes a crackling noise , for example the default BBM chime will cause a slight crackling noise...
    Defect?, normal?
    What do you all think?

    My hearing is horrible, so if my z30 does that my ears can't hear it. I'll ask my kids lol.

    Kids say no, and I have one child that claims she can hear a dog whistle lol.

    Sounds like a defect to me. I have had no issues with Z30 speakers even when at full volume.
