Anywhere I can take a Z30 with bad flash memory to get repaired? I bought from eBay so blackberry will not honour the warranty but at this point I just want to pay to get it fixed!

I'm in the Toronto area - any recommendations??

    Thanks much

That's one thing I think Blackberry needs to work on, the warranty. It shouldn't matter where you bought the phone from, it should follow the device IMEI. Kind of ticks me off to be honest.

Troubleshot it with technical support. The red flashing pattern it is doing apparently is bad flash memory.

Tell me about it - I'm still extremely angry about it. It doesn't even seem like there is a place to take it to for repair!

Hm...can you tell me a little more about the red flashing pattern?

I'm trying to troubleshoot mine but before I call I'd like to have a basic idea of what's going on.

[QUOTE=mmmac;9960237 eBay so blackberry will not honour the warranty

Brand new phones have 1 year manufacturer warranty. BlackBerry not honouring this is really poor

Poor customer service is another reason why people don't buy BlackBerry and prefers the like of Samsung or iPhone.

Bought a defective iPhone 5s on eBay walked into iPhone shop got checked and them given a new one without any hassle and without having to pay anything. That's customer service.

Sure..mine flashes red once then three subsequent red flashes and repeats that pattern.

I believe it's a complete flash memory failure - you cannot restore in link - although it does tease you and ask for the password before immediately rebooting the device again and repeating the red flashing sequence

I wish there was some place I could take it to or a flash memory unit or main board I could purchase!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

BlackBerry in Cambridge Ontario offers free repairs if you walk your device in. I just took my Z30 in today and ive had two previous devices repaired at no charge in the past. 25 Reuter Drive is the address. You fill out a form and they e-mail you when it's done and you have to pick it up.

Really? Do I have to fill out anything before or just take it in there? They have a phone number or anything?

    I'll do just that!

I managed to drop it off - however, it did not seem that the place was a "repair center" for the public - it seemed that they expected some employee connection? However, because I had an email from Blackberry saying to bring the device there he reluctantly took it and gave me a form to fill out.

Is there something we're missing here? Did we go to the right place? Did you have some employee connection? They seemed to expect one.
