I'm just wondering if I should get the Z30 now or wait for the passport? I broke my phone so I need a new one ASAP and I think the Z30 is lookin like a good option!

I was in your situation about a year ago, except I was waiting for the Z30. I had a Style at the time. I went ahead and bought a Q10 outright, thinking I would save my upgrade option for the Z30 and I'd still have the Q10 as a backup device. Of course, Sprint went and reneged on their promise to carry the Z30, so it became a moot point. I'm enjoying the Q10, but when my wife's contract with Sprint is up in October I am highly likely to jump to Verizon. I'd consider staying with Sprint if they carry the Passport, but I have zero confidence in Sprint right now, and it is more probable that Verizon would carry the Passport as opposed to Sprint or AT&T. In other words, I'm still stuck in a waiting pattern.
What you really want to ask yourself is what do you want in your device, and how does that compare to the one that broke? If you really want a QWERTY device you might want to do as I did with the Q10, and then have that as a backup. If you are excited for an all-touch, go with the Z30 (but bear in mind its rumored replacement [the Z50] might not be that far off either).

I would agree, for now the Z30 is great phone, one of the best if not the best. I've got mine since November and it is still going great.

If you can't wait, pick up the Z30. Great phone, no complaints here. If you CAN however wait, it might be worthwhile to wait and see how the passport keyboard performs. Personally, I am still somewhat skeptical about the lack of a fourth row of physical keys. The Z30 keyboard, in contrast, is absolutely fantastic. Best virtual keyboard (arguably better than the 9900 or Q10 physical keybpard) by a margin.

Just get a cheap 2nd hand q5 or z10 for a temporary phone then as soon as the Passport comes out kapoosh! Buy it!

If you are from the state or know someone there's a $100 dollars off the White Z30 @$399.
If you can wait for a few months at least you get to play with the Passport to compare before you settle with Z30.

Went from a q10 which I loved but small screen did for me after a year...got bored waiting and went to Sony xperia z2...lovely phone but I wanted bb10 back esp the hub!!...so I got a z30!!

The phone is beautiful and it just works!! And now with 10.3 on the horizon it will just get better....

Get one...a decision you couldn't regret!!

I have the Z30 for me a great device. Passport too big for what I use the Z30 for and don't like a keyboard taking up screen space. Will some day replace the playbook but not with the passport. Each to their own! Depends upon what you are going to use it for.
