With new device arriving soon, in my case I will seriously planning to switch for Passport. Not only z30 owners but q10 too...

The only thing is keeping someone to keep the z30 is big screen. Battery life is solved in Passport.

What do you think guys? What could you keep holding our loved z30 instead of betraying it for Passport?

Do you see this as some kind of problem? It's not like the Z30 has been some kind of sales hit...

I'll stick with the Z30 passport is to wide. I have to be able to place a call while going down the road or send a text sometimes. I can do it one handed with the Z30 and don't need to look just like the Q10 might even be a bit better with the Z30

    Posted via CB10
You really do that while you're driving?

btw, even the Voice Assistant now will send BBMs or texts by voice. Or, of course, voice dialing...

I had a q10 before and always thought the physical keyboard is better..but once I got the Z30..my opinion on that changes completely!

I love the virtual keyboard on the Z30 and I will keep using it and not get the Passport.

If in the future the successor of the z30 comes out..i will definitely get that instead.

Passport doesn't seem to interest me at all.

I am going to replace my Z30 with the passport because I always love to try new devices.
The size is not a problem for me because I am always typing with two hands, it's much faster and I am texting a lot...
The screen at 4.5 ', is smaller than the 5' of the Z30 but when using the phone always approx 30% of the screen is taken by the virtual keyboard, so when using the passport you are going to have bigger screen available.
I am reading also a lot of pdf and excel files, so seems that can be worked better with the passport.
My only concern are the gestures of the keyboard, these are fantastic on the Z30 so I would like to see a passport keyboard in real action before definitely buying it.
Last but not least I am very excited by the totally different look of the passport because all touch screen phones today are looking very same!

I have a Z30 and really like it. I'm not going to get rid of it. It's a totally different type of phone than the Passport, they serve people with different wants and needs.

Some reasons to keep it would be if you don't want a physical keyboard or a phone with styling like the Passport's.

No no, I'm not going to replace my Z30 with a Passport. That spot is saved for Z50 or whatever name they will change to.

I have no interest in getting a Passport. I'll be waiting for the next high-end full-touchscreen BlackBerry.

I'll get the passport and then I'll be like the cool kids switching between my z30 and passport on certain days of the week.
I truly wonder if my passport will be nearly as rugged as my z30.
I truly need a Blackberry rugged device.

As much as I love my Z30, I'll be upgrading.

    Why?

the high def display with 453 ppi will put to shame my Z30 display, the quad core processor and 3gigs ram will be smoking fast, and the bigger battery will likely mean even more time between charges. Also, I do a lot of email, reading, .pdf and documents on my BB, its true, the narrow display of todays crop of phones doesn't cut it. And turning it sideways is a pain in the ***.

    Passport is simply brilliant.

    Bring it on.

I will have to hold out judgement until I happen to handle the Passport myself. The Z30 has enough battery life for my purposes, and typing on the all-touch screen is surprisingly accurate, especially with the intelligent auto-correct that BlackBerry is using in BB10. I also do watch a fair bit of Netflix, and Z30 serves that purpose a touch better in my personal opinion.

I do like the higher resolution camera in the Passport, and the touch-sensitive keyboard sounds intriguing, so it isn't without charm for me, but for the time being the Z30 is where I will be staying until a full-touch successor comes out.

    (3) I don't like the 1 to 1aspect ratio
Actually, what I would like to see is a 4:3 aspect ratio screen. I hate widescreen displays of any kind, and still cling to my old-school LCD 4:3 monitors like crazy. Those 1600x1200 pixel monitors are hard to come by, but I have at least 4 still in storage to replace my current ones if they ever burn out.

I will keep my Z30 as it is closest to my heart and a phone which I passionately bought. I will wait for an year to see the Passport prices drop, but prefer to keep both devices even if I own a passport at layer stage

Exactly. When I upgraded to a Z30, I still kept my Z10's. No need to get rid of phones I still really like.

Add my voice to those who will stay with the Z30 waiting on the Z50. The more I see of the Passport the more certain I am of this phone is not for me. Z30 fits my hand well and I am certain a wider phone will not interest me. I have moved on from physical keyboards as well. The BB10 virtual keyboard on the Z30 works well as others here have said.

Glad to see others saying they will buy the Passport - for BlackBerry's sake.
