With new device arriving soon, in my case I will seriously planning to switch for Passport. Not only z30 owners but q10 too...

The only thing is keeping someone to keep the z30 is big screen. Battery life is solved in Passport.

What do you think guys? What could you keep holding our loved z30 instead of betraying it for Passport?

I'll be sticking with my Z30. My most frequent usage scenarios make the rectangle screen ideal. Also, I totally love how fast I can type on the virtual keyboard.

    I own a Z30 but really want a Passport.

If I can afford to, I would like to keep both devices, because they are both fantastic.

Unless in usage I find the passport to not be as good in some way, I will pick one up.

If I can't afford to keep both, then I will have to sell my Z30 to help cover the cost of the Passport.

I will miss a lot of the features. Bit it's important to move on to other things as well.

I'll be buying a passport ASAP, and then giving my Z30 to my GF (who is rocking the Z10 I gave her when I got my Z30 ahaha). Thus goes the circle of life.

I have a Q10 for work, which they say will be upgraded to the Classic when released and have a Z30 for personal use. As much as I would like to try a Passport, I don't ever see myself with one. My work and lifestyle make a holster the most practical method for me to carry a phone, not to mention needing one-handed use, and I draw the line with the Z30 size. The Z30 is the width limit for me.

The Passport just appears too large for practical holster and one handed use, which is a deal breaker for me. I like the phone though and I expect many to love it. I'll be keeping my Z30 and enjoying it for a while to come.

One handed use will the only reason I don't go passport. The swipe up words on Z30 to keep connected when I only have one hand is the only reason I might keep it...well and price of Passport if it's outrageous.

I'll keep my Z30 for backup purposes when I get my hands on the Passport. I've used both the Z10 and Q10 since January and I am looking forward to using my fourth BlackBerry device come September.

So tempted. I've migrated from Z10 to Q5 to Z30, and I will admit to being intrigued by this new form factor.

Battery life and ease of use are the keys for me. If the Passport provides both (which it sounds like it will) I will most likely upgrade.

I use a Z30 now. Best phone BlackBerry ever made. Been eyeing the Passport and may pick one up out of curiosity and support for BlackBerry, but will still keep my Z30 as my primary device. Really wanting a Z30 replacement / BB10 phablet over the Passport though.

I'm currently rocking a Z30 but the Passport has me intrigued so I'll be getting one as soon as it's released.

I'm excited about trying something new and different. Plus the improved camera, sound quality, battery life and speed of the Passport, along with the physical keyboard and gestures are going to make it a dream to use.

I'd be happy to take a look at the Passport when they make it to stores, but compared to the Z30 the problems for me would likely be:

    (1) no single hand use
    (2) I don't like physical keyboards
    (3) I don't like the 1 to 1aspect ratio
    (4) I worry how pocketable the Passport is
    (5) I don't like the smaller screen
    (6) I don't like the styling of the device
    (7) It will likely be very expensive at the beginning

The Passport is also the first device that will be released since Chen has abandoned the BB10 consumer native app development, and now BB10 has the lowest level of developer interest of any of the major platforms -- including Windows Phone. Worse yet, the BlackBerry developer trend is steadily down while Windows Phone trend is up and the BlackBerry niche device strategy is unlikely to help generate high unit sales that would have helped improve BlackBerry's position. Of course, Google and iOS continue to enjoy peerless developer support of their respective native OS's combined with excellent hardware offerings.

That said, many people here on the forum say that they'll get the Passport, so I'm interested in seeing how sales go and how those who buy Passport report their experiences.

I'm really torn on this. I am a project manager, so I'm out in the field and work a lot with spreadsheets and PDF's. The Passport seems awesome for this. However, I'm quite sure I would prefer my Z30 in my leisure time. I have never been a two-phone guy, and my company pays for my phone and service - which is great, but now I would be adding to my expenses if I added a second phone. Of course I'd be paying for it.
As great as I think the Passport would be for work, it seems bulky and awkward to carry when I'm socializing.
I'll check it out when they are available.

I'm a huge BlackBerry fan but would never trade my Z30 for a passport. Even if you gave it to me for free. I think BlackBerry dropped the ball on the Passport. Just my opinion.

I'll stick with the Z30 passport is to wide. I have to be able to place a call while going down the road or send a text sometimes. I can do it one handed with the Z30 and don't need to look just like the Q10 might even be a bit better with the Z30

Z30 owner. I'm definitely getting the Passport. One of the reasons (If true) is the idea of using a physical keyboard that you don't have to click down on the keys. (I've read it's more of a tap) I'm thinking this will be the best of both worlds and make for the best typing experience. Along with the fact that I only type with two hands anyways, the width of the Passport will be more comfortable to do just that.
