Since BB Link is absolutely worthless for syncing Outlook contacts and calendars by USB to the Z30, I thought I'd try the wireless setup with Outlook.com that I've read about.

I set up an Outlook.com account and downloaded the Hotmail Connector. Everything I've read leads me to believe, at this point, I should see an additional account on the Email, Calendar, and Contacts tabs of my Outlook 2010 and that I should copy contacts and calendar events from Outlook and paste them to the new Calendar and Contacts accounts. However, I only see the new account on the Email tab of my Outlook, not Calendar or Contacts, and, consequently, I don't see where to copy my contacts and events.

Am I misunderstanding how to go about setting this up or is something wrong?

On a broader note, am I wasting my time with this? Might this work to sync my contacts and calendar to the Z30? Nothing else seems to.

My outlook.com account works really well on my Z10. I set it up on the device using the setup screen in BB10, didn't use the hotmail connector. I'd never heard of the connector until you mentioned it.

Try setting up your account on your Z30 with out any type of connector. I realize you've got a Z30 and I have a Z10 but the process should work on both.

I have no issues syncing anything with outlook. Contacts, calendar, tasks all sync with no issue just setting up outlook through the accounts setting. No fuss at all.

I have a Z30 with 2 work and 1 personal email account..all work fine...come to hub , no prob....as well as text messages

calendar good, contacts sync well...no issues.

Outlook.com works great for Contacts, Calendar and Email. Better than Gmail imo
I have a Gmail Business account as well.

I use Outlook on my work Pc, sync the calendar to an Outlook.com account and on the Z30 everything comes across nicely. Messages as well...

I don't remember exactly, but I remember in Outlook you want to make the Outlook.com account the default, it might have been under options. I don't remember any extra tabs.
