Thanks for the suggestion. I already have a store where I'm planning to buy my next BB, but alas, it's the funds that I'm still short of. Hahaha. But for the love of BB I will persevere! Is it true that it's quite heavy, though? Well I don't mind it being a tad heavier, since I'm clumsy at times, and a light phone always slips on my hands.

Got my Z30 3 days ago, as a replacement for my 3+ year old Z10. Main features I like are:
    1. Better reception / stronger signal - - When using my Z10 at my office, due to the "fortress like" structure of our office building, I had to leave my Z10 on a file cabinet in a corner of our office in order to get minimal reception, and had to run over to such corner to pick it up when it rang. Better attenna of the Z30 has fixed that defect.
    2. Horizontal screen viewing of the Z30, provides better viewing than Blackberry Passport (IMHO). Was leaning towards the Passport until I focused on this one characteristic.
    3. Over the 3 years with Z10, I had gradually grown fond of the Z10 screen keyboard, and no longer had the "must have" desire for the traditional keyboard of the Passport.
    4. Familiar operating system carried over from Z10 to Z30 made for a definite "user friendly" switch.

In addition, I had somehow corrupted the backup created for the Z10 by BlackBerry Link and couldn't use it. But the free download of Device Switch APP (from Blackberry World) set up on my home WIFI, after having to reboot my router and reboot both Z10 and Z30, went much more smoothly and quickly than I expected (plus 100% accurately).

As a "productivity minded" user, I look forward to the coming months/years.

Well this is my first BlackBerry device and z30 is really good in hardware. I explored some great things which is helping me in my jobs - 1. Managing my schedules well. Timely reminders. 2. Phone automatically going in meeting mode and coming out. 3. BlackBerry automatically selects and dials pin during telecon. So no point of remembering. 4 great experience during webex meetings. 4. Great hub 5. Great keypad.

So if anyone has more surprises do let me know. Only thing required is if BlackBerry supports skype for business for sharing presentations, it would be great.

I pulled the trigger on a Z30 for a reason other than to use as my own, ended up using it for a bit, then found myself in a BlackBerry collecting spree! After using some pkb BlackBerrys, which I also love, I was using a P'9982 as I needed an all-touch which is an excellent device but had a jonesing to get back over to the Z30. Having LTE again (P'9982 is the row model not compatible with my North American carriers LTE bands), the giant screen compared to Z10, USB OTG, WiFi direct, big battery! Feels good to have all these features again but the Porsche had also spoiled me!

There is some some similarity in the silver chin design and I actually think I prefer the glass weave over leather back in terms of looks, even if a little and we all know there isn't much in the way of customizing BB10 but after digging through the forums here, I was able to carry over some of that PD look to my Z30

Hi everyone. I just bought a BB z30 about a week ago and I must say that I'm really loving this phone, except for the wifi as it seem to be pretty weak in getting signals, but besides that, I love this phone! The last time I had a blackberry was maybe about 10 or more years ago and I loved that old phone. The battery died on me or else I could have still be using it. Since Samsung was getting popular in those days, I figured I 'd try an android phone. Now, I switched back to Blackberry and I must say I am very much liking this phone. I'm not a youngster so gaming in mobile phones is not my thing and I can see many apps that is suitable for my work. I also like this model since it looks to be rare, sturdy, work oriented, and from what I read here, still packs a wallop than the newer Leap (excuse me) . I hope to be using this phone for many years to come as I will be taking care of this as one my "precious".

So just got my hands on a z30 too. First Blackberry ever and I must say that I am absolutely loving it! I've no need for tons of apps and I'm more concerned about just getting things done and the z30 is proving to be amazing at that! Definitely the best phone I have ever had! :-)

Z30 : so underestimated and yet so great. Best phone I've ever had, which I just can't depart from. Phone is actually doing good in all departments : look, feel, design, build quality, reaction time, multimedia, multitasking, productivity and so on. Only minor issues I've had is wifi drops.

Just got mine today unlocked st100-2. Updating to 10.3.2.2724. Will then transfer my **** over from z10.Cant way for stereo speakers, radio and longer battery life most important. My gosh my z10 was utter **** by midday already in battery saving mode.Had to be on all day charge and still died by 11pm espcially with locatione.Must admit the screen is much much better than i remember on first seeing the device. Its not bad at all. A little dim but no bad at all.

Yes I checked out the priv at selfridges day of release.Had the money and everything.Tested it out for 20 minutes.Just no ,not worth the price. And too much of a gamble. Its just a mess. Its organized people tyring to fix android mess.Instead of stripping everything and building around bb things. Its BB building on top of android and its a mess. Stupid droid navigation buttons taking up the bottom screen already off putting.Makes the camera snap button look so stupid. No gestures but the curve swipe thats just fail. The Hub was just trash and by looks of recent updates will continue to be.No file manager.double notifcations.A mess.Mono speakers ona 750 device come on man. There's no way the paratek antenna is working well with android OS yet. Took 3 devices to get it to work z30 being the 3rd. Just no to teh priv. WIthout proper hub ,file manager and app share framework there's just no structure to the OS.Pointless.

Anyway about 10min to go on update.& transfers.

Just got mine BlackBerry Z30 today, an unlocked STA100-2 from UK. Now updated with Sachesi to OS 10.3.2.2836 and Android runtime downgraded from *.348 to *.231 without problems, and working with a few Android APPs* (Thanks Cobalt232) ;-)

Just got a new Z30, coming from a Lumia 930! This is the phone I've been looking for, forever! Where have you been?!

I used to have a Nokia N9 and this is the perfect combination of hardware and great software. Pretty much the elegance of the N9 coupled with Blackberry and Android apps. "Obsolete" or not, this will definitely remain my daily driver for years to come.

It was locked to Yoigo and nobody could get me the code. But it turns out there is a hardware unlock method that works, even if 0 unlock attempts remain...

    Hi!
I just got my new BB Z30 from U.K. I love it so much but I have an important question about the device.
Is it worth to update the software 10.2.1 to 10.3.1 or 2?
Could you tell me the pros/cons about the updating?

10.3.1 doesn't have Flash, but is superior in every other aspect. New features, more stable, and performance optimizations.

I know this is an older post, but for anyone else wondering about Flash - if you still have a site you need/want to access that hasn't eliminated the need for Flash support, you can download Zeus browser for a few bucks. I had to do this for the site hosting our wedding pics. Pretty much everyone else is out of the stone age with Flash, but a few linger on.

    Z30 Info Thread - Got a Z30? Tell Us About it!-img_20160416_162416.jpg

That's right. But not because the Passport sucks. On the contrary. I can tell the difference that Passport is definitely the one with more raw power and much better sound blaster. But I need the keyboard. I need to be able to type fast and correctly, as oppose to being slow and tiring when using my OG Passport's PKB. BB10's VKB gives me that. It is the absolute best virtual keyboard on the planet. No contest, like, AT ALL. And I have tried them all.

I know, I know, you'd say, "Just get the SE version, Dude...!"
Sure, but with the current BB10 circumstance, there's no way in hell I'd fork out another fortune for BlackBerry (read: John Chen). I even purposely bought the Z30 second hand.

Anyways, I've finished tinkering and setting it up. Ready for work. I have a strong feeling I'm gonna love this one, just as loved my Passport.

    Absolutely love my Z30!!!
Only sad now that my PlayBook (yes I can admit to owning one) charger is not working effectively anymore so I cannot 'rapid charge ' the phone

Also if any tips how to download Google Play on the device would be much appreciated.

    Peace.
