I haven't been seeing or hearing much about the Z30 lately compared to a few weeks ago when it was discovered. Do you think BlackBerry would purposely delay the release so that they could up the specs on it? I've noticed a lot of people's problem with the Z30 is that the specs aren't as great as other superphones that it has to compete with, specifically the Galaxy S Series. If I'm not correct then I still think it would be a good idea, to delay the release, jam pack the high specs like Samsung did, so that it would stir up the competition a lot more rather than releasing it early with mediocre specs

It's not possible to delay a phone that has not been officially announced yet! HOWEVER it is possible that internal target dates have changed and perhaps they ARE still deciding on the specs. We just don't know.

Can't delay something that doesn't have a release date.

Given the inability if BlackBerry to sell the current models and the stated goal to sell the company by November, my guess the Z30 is on hold.

With the company trying to sell itself by November I doubt that they would be trying to launch a smartphone at the same time. Likely what is happening is the Z30 is in a holding pattern until the board figures out if there is a buyer(s) and if they are going to continue making and selling smartphones.

I very much doubt it is in a holding pattern. The strategic alternatives have been in play for some time now.

Manufacturing started so no. And quad core will not bring android and ios users over.

Maybe if they get the top 30 apps native they could do a hard core phone but not now. There is no business case for it.

I would think they are primarily focused on breakup/sale at this point.
