I just recently just hoped onto a z30 after some issues with my q being lost.

I've had a z10 for a year and a half now, and I have used the q for probably 6 months. I never used a case with either of those phones. And typically do not, just a preference I choose.

My z10 received minor wear, chips, and scuffs, and the q got barely any to be honest.

As far as ruggedness of the phone it feels amazing, but the slightly raised screen worries me.

What are the thoughts of other fellow owners of the Z30, does thy have thee of the speaks I am talking about?

    Thanks,

    Vajda

There are like 5 cases available for the Z30 omg. no matter where I check online or in store there is such a small selection. I have a otterbox from my Z30 but its just too big for my jeans, I got one of those cheap S-curve cases to fix that problem. Most the time I have no case and I'm not worried about and damage. I don't drop my phone much though.

I interested in everyones feedback as well, I just got a z30 and I would hate to have to put a case on this beautiful device. I may just get a screen protector.

I have a flip case. It's not so good. Difficult to type with two hands when on. The lid does not close properly when on a flat surface. Also hard to remove. But I found when naked the phone is slippery. All said, there seems no ideal case. For me there is too little thought given to this dimension of the mobile experience.

The transform case for the Z30 isn't as good as the Z10. It's OK but it's slippery - the Z10 case is grippy. That's my main problem with it. The Z10 is easier to hold onto even caseless.

I'd just go caseless and use a holster except for how easily the 30 slips out of my hand. Could be just me though.

I have two of the above one black for me the white one for me wife.
I tried 3 different cases before and bad quality and none of them good at all.
But the one above is durable, no bulky and very protective besides it comes with a stand which is a plus.
    I recommend it 100%.

I just use the BlackBerry leather pouch... fits in my pocket. It also protects the screen from fighting with my keys. If I'm not using my phone its in the case, that way if I'm not using it (just carrying it) and drop it I'm saved. If you live on Earth you pretty much need a case...gravity is a bi*ch.

Thanks for all the great help, everybody!

First thing. The Z30 is an absolute masterpiece and it is very very hard to put down, just as my other bb10 phones have been.

First thing I noticed about the phone, is the slipperiness of the screen, and how the back is very similar to that of the q10, both black, which makes for a smooth touch, but also little grip.

I'm kind of heading more towards a pouch, because I remember how awesome mine was for my 9900. But am going to be looking around and see what kind of bundles I could possibly nab if I don't decide soon.

I used to have a tranform case for the Z30.. now im using a leather holster.. although I had my Z30 "clear coated" sort of like invisible shield where it puts a layer of protection front back and on the silver bezel. Now I can put down the phone whenever and wherever I want without thinking about scratches, plus the phone isnt slippery anymore. And when im not using it.. its in the holster.

Does it have the cut outs for the power and volume buttons?

It has cut outs for the power, speakers, audio jack and camera.

As for the volume and lock buttons... no cutout but the plastic is soft and it is molded to the button. You can press on them.

An added bonus to the molded plastic over the buttons is that I no longer accidentally press the buttons. It add just enough resistance. Great case.

You must have some tight jeans.

    Mine fits no problem.

My suggestion, buy bigger jeans. Probably cost less in the long run.

My jeans are FITTED thank you very much
nothing wrong with a good pair of slim straight jeans. I also have smaller hands so bulking up the Z30 makes is harder for me.

Had a transform case. The sides top and bottom still exposed. I now have a flea market silicone case. Covers all the way around. Doesn't add much bulk.

I decided to go for the otterbox defender. It is bulky but I'm a larger guy so it is fine. I can understand if your smaller framed that it may be too much to handle well. I am also an outdoorsman, and appreciate the extra protection.

I ripped out the defender screen and replaced it with a skinomi
