I don't know why but I have heard people complain about the brightness of the Z30. Yes, the Z10 was much brighter....actually it was too bright and I turned it down to about 70%. The Z30 is actually quite bright and everything is visible easily. I don't have to turn down the brightness because it is perfect at max.

I also had the Z10 the Z30 is fine I have mine turned down to 75%. It's bright enough for me.

I just checked my z10 brightness setting... I'm using it at 50% and it's bright enough for anything I use.

I have both the z10 and z30. While I liked the z10, I had a couple gripes with it (cheap build and poor battery - I have four batteries and two chargers so I didn't notice it as much).

The z10 may seem a tad brighter, but it has a yellow hue due to its LCD screen. Whereas the z30 super AMOLED screen is adequately bright, however it's a white hue which seems brighter and clearer.

As a side comment on the z30. It is hands down the best BlackBerry I have ever used and comparable to any Android from a build perspective. The battery lasts a full day with heavy use whereas with the z10 I always had to carry a couple extra battery packs with me to make it through the day.

The signal reception is awesome. I can still retain signal in an elevator or concrete stairs in my condo. Call quality is solid but a bit low while in phone calls. Though this may be a software issue.

The z30 is a phenomenonal phone. It looks so much more professional than the z10 and operates perfectly. It's really too bad BlackBerry didn't release this phone with 10.2 back in February.

Interesting, do you also use it outsides with minimum brightness? With my Q10, this would be a hopeless thing to do, you wouldn't be able to read anything. I'm just wondering, because in a recent review the Z30 got rated even (very) slightly lower in terms of max. brightness compared to the Q10. When the sun's out, virtually everything below 100% is tooo dim for me.

Mkwb you are soo right. I have the same thought... is it too late for BlackBerry to keep the catch up game live? How did blackberry messed this so bad with the first BB10 devices?

Z30 is such a good phone in all areas that makes z10 and Q10 so outdated. Has anyone heard of a z30 - like device with Q keyboard?
