I'm considering purchasing these over the ear QC25 head phones.
The Bose comes in two styles; Apple or Android compatible, as the Bose have volume controls and microphone capabilities.
Does anyone happen to have this headset, and which version should I get to work the best on the Z30?

    Thanks All

Take a look at the Audio Technica M50 series (M50X recommended) .You may be very pleasantly surprised! They cost less than the Bose and blow them away sound wise. Read reviews for both. The Bose are over rated.

One thing to mention... I have android based headphones and the volume down button doesn't work... it was working in 10.2.1 I believe but I have a leak installed cut the benefits outweigh not having a volume down button... so... you might be buying headphones expecting all the buttons working, but find its not perfectly compatible

I'm in the same boat as Joewoo, my Bose over ear headphones had working volume and media controls in OS 10.2.1 but upgrading to a leak of 10.3.1, 1154 in particular, only the media(middle) key and NOT the volume keys are working. Hopefully the official release fixes.

    Peace,

Android BOSE earbuds don't allow the use of the microphone button etc with BlackBerry leaks. I have that issue with mine.

Sound wise this might be better but the OP might be looking for a noise-cancelling headphone for portable use, which is where the QC25 excels. The V6 recommended by the other poster is also a great headphone, a favorite among those working in the studios, but it sports quite a long cable that would only be suitable for home / office use. I say try both Bose on the store to know which one will work.

Yes I had the same problem with the v6 cable but there's a method of intertwining the cable which cuts it in more than half and now it's fine for my commute but they are really comfortable and do a decent job of isolating outside noise.

I have the QC15 and QC25 and they both work great with the Z30. The 25's are the "Apple" versions and the controls are fully functional on the Z with no issues. Really great for travel on trains and especially airplanes. I tried to see if my Audioquest Dragonfly USB amp would work on the Z but it said it couldn't find the drivers for it. I guess USB audio doesn't work with 10.2.1.
