I was a bit curious today, had thos old Motorola bluetooth keyboard laying around.

I paired both the mouse (cheap one from amazon) and the keyb. They worked very well, the mouse even shows a little pointer around the screen.

This is a proof of concept for anyone who fancies plugging the Z30 to the TV (for netflix or youtube) and want to have a little remote-like thing.

Also for presentations, as the mouse supports full gestures (dragging the bottom is like doing a swipe up and so on)

    Hope this helps someone

    Yup.

I do this with Bluetooth keyboard + Bluetooth mouse + playing music over BlackBerry Music Gateway

All this streamed to the TV wirelessly using Miracast.

I did the same with a foldable keyboard and mouse. But the start screen is always in portrait which is pretty annoying - or did I miss a setting.

I also bought a Galaxy Note 3 recently and I installed a third party launcher so now everything can be set to landscape.

Apart from this rather minor hiccup and a slightly smaller screen the Z30 does the trick as good as the Note 3. One more thing to add: the Z30 is EUR 429 at Amazon.de while I bought the Note 3 for EUR 380 in a retail store here in Germany.

I'm out of country for a couple weeks, but I certainly can when I get back.

There really isn't much to it though.

I'm using the Panasonic DMP MST60 for the Miracast. I got it from Future Shop.

    Microsoft Sculpt Mouse and Keyboard.

Have this as well, keyboard and mouse at same time on Z30, HDMI Cable to desktop monitor at work, cable or Miracast to big screen TV at home and PC monitor at home. Mainly spreadsheets and emails but does many other tasks well....Story Maker is easy and under rated app. If you haven't already, give it a go! Just don't try to upload to YouTube if you put a song on it that is copyright or it will be rejected.

I just connected a wireless mouse to my z30 via USB. Works perfectly. One more reason I'm using my laptop less and less. My laptop is now mostly used as a file backup thru BB Link. Will try keyboard thru usb next.

I use the Z30 with the playbook mini keyboard and it's great. I love the bluetooth setup. I have also hooked Z30 to a TV through HDMI and then typed documents on the playbook mini keyboard.

Do you find it annoying that the scroll wheel for your mouse doesn't allow you to scroll between home screens/hub? And I also found it didn't work for scrolling up or down in texts/BBMs/emails either
