In my eyes the materials are cheaper on the 30, resembles a cheap Samsung Galaxy S5 with all their paid Android reviews most seem to bite in these days. The front facing camera on the 10 is better. Will post proving photos in another thread. The 30 seems cheap in materials used, built quality, overall feel. 30 has cheap plastics, 10 hard solid plastics with glass. The performance is comp arable and some times 10 surpasses 30. For one hand operation there is no questioning, 10 is better. Have got no tennis player hands. Screen is also better on the 10. Better brightness, crisp, sharper screen with better color reproduction. Yellow is almost orange on the 30 just check the messages logo with a Z30 and a z10, side by side if you don't believe me. It's like they dimmed the screen so much on the 30 for battery life that you can't get much out of it even at the brightest setting with the battery saving setting turned off.

Obviously, I'm not really aware that the Z30 used cheaper materials. I just never noticed.

While a little unwieldy, you can use a power bank with the Z30. And unlike the reboot necessary to change batteries in the Z10, the Z30 would keep on operating. Of course, you can use a power bank with either.
Saw a couple of guys trying to charge a couple of Samsungs tied to a spare battery and backpacks in a crowded car. It was ridiculous. Can't imagine a situation in which I couldn't take a minute to switch a battery, not to speak of t..

Previously had the BB Storm and upgraded to the Z30 - i've had it for a while now. It had limited apps at first, but now, with the recent system upgrade and acces to a boat load of apps previously unavailabe, I've now tweaked my device to "Star/Jedi" status. Luv my Z30.

Still have them side by side on the desk. Did two days testing signals &reception, built quality , screen quality &clarity, ease of use with one hand, walking and typing with one hand etc. Same OS version on both.

Please make abstraction of the unpeeled plastic foil on the back of the z30. the grip is on the sideways of the phone and both sideways and back are made of the same slippery plastic. Please notice the rubberized back of the Z10.
The sideways photo, with no flash, taken for Z30 all that white part above the plastic silver line is made out of shiny plastic.
In Z10's sideways flash photo, the entire line above the volume buttons, the screen, is made of glass.
The front facing photos of Z30 shows us a shiny plastic facade. Z10's front facing photos shows us a glass covered facade.

    The white is a Z30
Z10 is in Black. The last photo is a Skype front camera test so the image on the 30 comes from Z10 and the image on the 10 comes from Z30. Same light conditions, screen brightness and software as seen in the photos.

The black Z30 has the carbon effect back and is more easy to grip. The white is very slippy so I can understand your point there. Some users buy the carbon back for the Z30 for that reason. That makes it similar to handle to Z10 from my experience.

Screen on z10 is better, but still the z30 is the better one to me (screen, sound, call quality) . Can't say build quality is less, but then I use the leather flip case. The two day battery life is excellent.

The Z30 is in a class of it own. I think the reason there is no successor is because they couldn't make it better. Yet!

I have improved my Z30 with a leather flip-wallet original cover, now it's easier for me to handle the device. As compared to the Samsung Galaxy S6 I use for social networking, Z30's virtual keyboard is easiest to use and more anatomically functional. I means it's easier to write than Samsung's. Audio sound is better, although in Italy much of audio quality depends on the carrier. It's definitely a good phone and I'm glad to have kept it

I just upgraded to the dtek50 and while they are close comparisons, I think the z30 was one of the best bb10 phones for size and function. I love the keyboard predictive swipe text and the os10 hub.

I had the cobalt android but it just didn't do it for me. .

The dtek gets the android sps but the bb10 feel is all but gone.

Too bad bb10 didn't have the android App Store.

I'd say so. They really nailed it with what they had available. The only "flaw" is the non-removable battery. They easily could have upgraded the processor/ram/screen resolution/cameras anytime between 2014-2016 and had a super compelling successor.

Yes of course it is. Anyone asking has never had one before. Love mine still last all day and still pretty zippy love the carbon back and keyboard, multitasking, keyboard, file manager, and flow of OS. Wish more people knew about it and there was a z30 2 to upgrade to. Love bb10

BlackBerry Z30 is the best phone I have ever used. I moved to a PRIV and while I have adjusted to Android, BlackBerry Z30 was the very first device to stick around with me for more than 12 months. And the very first device where I did not have to worry about the battery life. Ever.

A brilliant piece of engineering all around! If only there was a sequel!
