I do not know about the regular case/screen but the BACK is different from what I've read. The black has a carbon fiber weave. The white does not (probably to make it easier to clean and keep clean.

The back (battery cover) is far superior on the Black Z30s. The carbon fiber weave is less slippery than whatever the white backing is made of.

When I ordered my white Z30, the first thing I did after leaving the shop BlackBerry website was fine a black back on ebay.

The new back took a day or two longer to arrive than the expedited phone. Once installed, the difference was clear. My Z30 no longer slid around in my hand. I wasn't worried about dropping it. I was happy.

The feel of the white Z30 reminds me of the S5 which always just felt cheap to me. Having said that...the front of the device is the same from black and white but the back cover, I prefer the feel of the glass weave as opposed to the hard plastic cover.

I like the way white looks better than the black (silver lip + white looks better than silver + black).

That aside, the white back is definitely super slippery and feels very plasticky.

Wish they could make a white back that had the feel of the black one.

Totally agree. I love the look of white on white with the silver, just wish my month old back cover didn't have a million gouges and color fading already!
