Correct -- BlackBerry made a media dock, but it was never offered to the general public, since BB10 had/has not yet allowed for the home screen to flip to landscape mode. There were a number of 3rd party docks made for the Z10. A couple of them may actually work for the Z30 as well, as long as you don't mind the end hanging over by a bit.

BB lost the battle with that one, the right way to approach this is, "Sorry guys, no charging terminals so you cannot use a pod, but.... here you go, we made a magnetic board that you can just stick your BB, and it includes wireless charging"..
Ok forget the board, just include a charging pad and charge on contact, could this be so hard to accomplish?

Well I can say for sure that the z30 does flip landscape when in sleep mode. My guess is there's not enough of either device out there to actually produce these docks

I bought a similar one from Amazon when I had a Z10, but this had a slot to charge a spare battery also. I found that it charged thew phone extremely slowly (with or without the spare being charged) and only charged the spare to 70-80%.

This works great for a Verizon Z30. Put something under the end to raise it a bit more and perfect dock. Don't even have to make sure it's in the right place.

This is what I use (from my Playbook) to charge my Z30 and it is extremely quick....1% charge/minute !

Case: Clear Hard Snap On (EBAY $6.99 + shipping, etc), next time might get the clear gel TPU style... the hard case didn't seem too secure when put together, but love the look.

Dock: Kidigi Adjustable Charger for Z30 (and Z10, Q5)

App: Digital Clock by Hobo Droid (using Snap)

Took many pics so you can see fit and finish and the different angles.

Dock came with USB charger and cable.
I am using the BB Premium Rapid charger (from Playbook). You can buy this separately. Can fully charge my Z30 in 90min, from complete dead 0% to 100%.

This docking charger works best with Z30 with a case IMO, more snug, which is what I wanted. Was afraid that it would be too tight or not fit at all with this hard shell case, but to my surprise, it fit amazingly well and there is a bit of wiggle room.

Also took a couple of pics showing how you can slide it side to side if you have different size device.

It is the perfect size for Z30 imo.

Same here. It only charges my spare battery to 80% whether the phone is docked or not.

After a few weeks of real world use, I found the Clear Hard Shell case was "not so perfect".

Found it to be:

• Too slippery.
• Way too bulky, especially around the edges
• Had trouble with the swipe gesture from the bottom because the lip on the cover was too bulky and came up pretty high.

Also found that day to day use was difficult when trying to dock the phone on the charger... it fit perfectly once I got it plugged in, but took too much time to nest it.

Got the TPS style smoke gel case. Less bulky, more grip. The smoke colour is very stealth.

There are plenty on amazon, official BlackBerry charging docks for the Z10. Seem to be available in most countries as well. If your a bit handy, you can file off the sides and your Z30 fits. All the charging and HDMI ports are in the same place. Check the forums it's been done and I have about 5 now.
