My Z30 no longer displays available networks since the recent update. I've wiped and reloaded the software to no avail. I'm not running any Android aps
I am guessing that you did toggle wifi ON (or enabled). It worked before? Which update? What version do you now have?

You might try another version of the OS.

You can run BB Virtual Expert. It contains a wifi test module.

It is possible that it has suffered a hardware issue.

Why is the WiFi so crappy on the Z30...-img_20150711_085157.png

I recently switched phones from z10 to z30 and the WiFi has been significantly worse with the z30. There are areas of my house that received a good signal on the z10, but constantly drop the signal with the z30. If was noticeable immediately on the same home network.

I also changed to 10.3.2 the same time I switched phones, so I can't rule that out. I have tried 4 different 10.3.2 versions, and no improvement.

Well either it's software or hardware, now my Z30 is coming up about 2 months old, but I never checked the wifi for long on 10.2.1 before I updated, I'm not sure but I think it may be a software issue.
It must be your device. I've gone from 10.2 -- 10.3.2 on all my BlackBerry's with no WiFi problems. My Z30 works great.

Maybe not noticeable if strong WiFi signal, but there definitely seems to be a trend.

As tmf06 says it's a bit of a trend, saying that software issues on BB10 are very random, my z10 had the proximity/light sensor dead from 10.3.1

Yep. My Z30 STA100-3 is beginning to flake out on wifi, too. Drops the connection then says connection efforts fail and disables the connection profile for my Cisco/Linksys EA4500. Same on my wife's Z30. Didn't have this issue with leaks that I noticed. Just started after I installed the "official" 10.3.2.2339. Really annoying and disappointing.

So, to answer OPs question, it's a software issue. The common, and probably only suggestion is clean wipe, install update, and see if it fixes it. Restore first, of course.

Meanwhile, the posts after this one will continue to tell OP how it's fine for them, but don't let that get to you

Never buy a new router the first year they come out. The drivers are always garbage until after a year of testing and catching up on stability. Also, first generation models often are low power and often lower power than what you just replaced for your 11n router.

Check for new router firmware regularly.

Even though I have an unlimited data package at Verizon me suggesting that people get one was kinda a joke as they are no longer available.

I had issues with 10.3.1, but 10.3.2 seems to have solved them...it doesn't drop out anymore and it connects immediately.
