    Hello,

Z30 gets extremely hot after some use and the screen stops responding to touch. All other buttons work, the screen lights up, but the screen stops responding to touch.
The screen was replaced after the phone took a nasty fall. The phone was inside an Otterbox Commuter case, so the glass of the screen did not break, the image was completely gone though. The panel under the glass was cracked all over.

    Z30 STA 100-5 running 10.2.1.537.

Any chance this could be related only to the new screen? Has anyone had a similar experience? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Open up the Z30 and try re-seating the ribbon cable.

    Thanks.
I had the phone serviced at a shop. I'll let the service rep know what you suggested.

Ask him to make sure there are no accidental short circuits, etc., as well.

The phone is heating up when 4G-LTE is enabled. That seems to be the main culprit. I disabled it and the phone has been working fine so far today.
The Tech guy said he wanted to keep the phone in order wipe and reload the OS. Saw that as an excuse to keep the phone and charge more money. I can survive without 4G and I can reload the OS if it comes to that.
My concern now is that my carrier seems to be removing BlackBerry from their catalog. I went there first to ask about a replacement option and they only had one Q10 in stock. I checked their webpage and the Z10 and Z30 are gone.
Anyways, thanks for your help on this.
