Every now and then, the battery on my Z30 seems to be shortchanging me, so I do a restart and it seems to go back to normal. Maybe give that a try. Might be a quick fix for you.

1. Uninstall all Android apps that you do not actually use.
2. Go to Settings - Security and Privacy - Application Permissions and turn off Run Minimized or Run in Background for as many apps as possible. Now your battery life will return to normal and your phone will become faster.

Switch your LTE band to 4G/3G/2G band. LTE sucks the battery life way too quickly. I made the switch and I have way longer battery life

I had the exact same problem, it took me a while, I back tracked to when this problem had started, and started to figure out what I loaded on the Z30 and what it came down to was an android app that was sucking the life outta my battery. I deleted it, plus any other android apps that I really wasn't using , did a hard reboot, let the phone settle and it was back to normal!!, thank God!!. I love my Z30, but if the battery issue wasn't solved I'd have to get another phone and I was torn between the Passport or Priv, and the jury still not out yet and didn't want to rush a decision. For me the Z30 is a work horse and is perfect for what I need, love bb10. I'm gonna ride it out till the end!!!

This happened to me. Tried everything I found on these forums with no luck. Turns out the USB connector shorted. I replaced it and everything is spectacular again :-)
