I'm having trouble watching some videos because adobe Flash Player is no longer supported. I'm not technically minded enough to install another flash player ( believe me I have tried)
I consider myself an end user and don't think that I should have to find a replacement flash player to work on my BlackBerry. I've been loyal to BlackBerry for the better part of 10 years and will now probably jump ship and move over to Apple if someone at BlackBerry doesn't fix it

Jumping to iPhone won't get you Flash either. Adobe stopped updating the mobile version and there have been too many security flaws found since they stopped to continue to include it and maintain security.

Look before you leap, because you won't find mobile flash on the iPhone either.

The Z30 came with flash player installed, only if you update to 10.3 will you loose it, mine is still on 10.2 and works very well and I can visit all the web sites I need to, it will continue to work for a while longer, i updated my old Z10 to 10.3 and with out flash player some of the original apps will not work and tried equivalent Android apps not the best experience, it's now used as a mp3/4 player.

I know, it's a shame. Some people will proclaim flash to be dead, but that of course doesn't help those of us with flash sites that we need to use (like my own employer's).

Someone has hacked the stock BlackBerry browser to run flash again.

Flash is dead. Adobe hasn't supported it in years. BlackBerry was the longest running supporter for mobile Flash to my knowledge. Android and iOS lost it years ago. If websites aren't being updated to at least offer an HTML5 alternative for viewing content then they're the ones outdated and causing the problems you guys speak of. Don't blame mobile manufacturers for not supporting and paying a licensing fee for a platform that Adobe themselves haven't even supported in years. Instead contact the site owner or owners and ask them to get with the times.

The dolphin browser is a very cool high tech looking and acting browser. Total support for flash on Z30 and Passport. JOOMAG digital magazines are all flash. They work great in Dolphin Browser no need to switch.

Install a different browser. No need to install a flash player or any of that crap.

Adobe Flash Player has been recognized as an insecure technology for a while now. It's (current) replacement is HTML5.

As far as I know, no *stock* (=manufacturer made OS) devices support Flash natively. Maybe I can get it on my rooted Android (=non-stock OS), but I most certainly won't!

It's so much of a security risk that even Adobe isn't developing it anymore. One day soon, I imagine they'll announce that support has ceased.

    And technology marches on...

July 2015 and I continue to access Flash-enabled websites using my Z10, my Z30 and my Blackberry Playbook.

So, in 2015 you don't know what you're yapping about.

Probably, in 2016, you still won't know what you're yapping about.

Exactly. Why update? I'm very happy with 10.2. Although mobile flash is getting less useful, it still works pretty well. If flash is gone, why is PC flash still being updated? Well, you can use the Puffin browser on iOS and android but it isn't really that hard to load the flash browser on BB10.

You might want to try a reinstall from Amazon app store. Been using on passport. I just loaded into Z30 and flew around ebay and amazon very very fast. No complaint here. Seriously cant understand all the post and ******** about flash when a simple browser install solves it for me.

Bit of an over reaction considering you can't get it native on other mobile platforms either?

    Wrong guess.

I have OS Version 10.3.2.680 on my Z10 and Z30 and I followed some workaround published on this site for installing some version of Flash.

Does this approach create or will it create some security problem(s)?

    I don't know.

Re: the Playbook; I'm using the most recent OS Blackberry provided--over a year ago. This OS has some old version of Flash installed.

I have no idea what security problems are inherent or will be inherent in this setup.

You have to exercise a bit of caution whenever you are on the Web. I doubt if flash is the main security problem.
