Hi guys, I am looking to upgrade my second phone (Z10) to a Z30.
What is the difference in material used in the white versus the black?
I ask this as my white Z10 battery door was inferior to the standard black, and was hoping that BlackBerry haven't skimped in the 'white' again....

The white is a cheapish plastic - REALLY SLIPPERY. The black is a glassweave which has A LOT of grip and there is no worry at all of it slipping out of your hands

rai187 is totally right. No glass weave look and it is really slippery. If only it was white glass weave.

Actually they didn't.

The plastic on the Z30 is actually a premium plastic, if you could call it that.

Feels really nice, slippery yes, but not cheap.

The Z10 and Q10 white plastics are the same and they feel cheap.

The Z30 is like this matte finish, similar to the plastic used on the Lumia phones, hardly cheap.

Of course nothing compares to the glass weave.

But the white one, especially in the gray Otterbox Defender case, looks really pimp. So there's that perspective if you are getting a case.

I have a black one and can't feel the back cause the phone is in the clear the case on ebay. I can see the glass weave but can't feel it. So the back doesn't matter if you want a minimalist case.

The glassweave on the Black Z30 feels so comfortable and looks great. The black Z30 is definitely one slick and classy looking phone. I love it.

If only BlackBerry came out with the Z30 first and had a more imaginative name for it. Like the BlackBerry VP, BlackBerry CFO, BlackBerry Advance instead of just generic Z30.
