What are the options for WhatsApp and Viber moving forward with native support ending?

How can I use these on my Z30? Is there any way to have these working on a Z30?

Would appreciate some direction from those who know.

Maybe some developer would make a Whatsapp client app for BlackBerry 10.

If Whatsapp and Viber are essential apps, move on and get an Android or iOS device.

Yes you would have to either move on to a support OS device or sideboard android version to your device. keep in mind that sideloading may not work or have all features included.

Hi For Viber I find that version 5.6.5.1873 runs very smoothly on my Passport SE & Z10. Will wait till Whatsapp no longer works before trying some of the ideas I have read about on Crackberry. Will stay with my Passport SE & Semi Retired Z10 as look as I can.

As our BlackBerry OS10 support android apps, the WhatsApp and Viber android versions work perfectly. So no worries buddy. The BlackBerry OS10 has not let us down.

Unfortunately, in the case of Whatsapp, we do NOT know that the old Android versions are going to keep working after Dec 31st.

And there will be no statement to the affirmative either. WA does not support WA Android on BB10 and never has, so they wouldn't make a statement on it either way. For some reason WA BB10 users expect WA to say something official about WA Android on BB10. The WA BB10 dev has essentially stated if it works it works if it doesn't it doesn't, don't bother WA about it before or after 12/31.

There is reason to believe it will eventually not work, but no reason to believe that will be on 01/01/16.

It will not continue to work fine.
The app will expire, and the servers will eventually stop letting it connect.

[We put in all these warnings, as annoying as they are, to give users ample time to switch to a supported platform to continue using the app.
The fact that a new thread on this topic seems to appear almost every day, where someone is newly surprised, just proves the necessity of these constant reminders.
Seems pretty definative to me. The BB OS10 app won't work and eventually the servers will not allow BB OS10 to connect what-so-ever.

I tried install WhatsApp Android version via SnapV3. Many features are found like Android version however the worst part is I am not able to send photos, videos and voice. Also not able to forward from other chat. So again I uninstalled WhatsApp android version and switch back to BlackBerry version.

My statement was in reference to WA Android on BB10 not the native app. WA does not officially support WA Android on BB10 so why would their official statement be none other than use WA on a 'supported platform' . WA Android on Bluestacks(Android on Windows PC) will never get an official statement on that use case either for the same reasons.

Obviously BB OS10 is no longer going to be a supported platform and in my opinion that includes an Android port used in conjunction with it.

My take on the matter anyways.
