hi, i installed whatsapp on my Z30. for some reason it is not reading my contacts. it only shows the numbers. the access to contacts in the settings is switched to ON
Can anyone help please?

Reboot. It happen to me once. After I enable the access to contact it still the same. But after reboot the problem gone.

yea i tried that... but still. even when i go into my car and connect to bluetooth the contacts are not recognized. Cannot seem to find anything on that. not sure if it has to with the balanced functionality but even there i am sharing the contacts with personal apps

If you are using cloud address book then remove the contact sync and activate it again.

there is something wrong between whatsapp and Z30... i have tried a number of things and still cannot get my whatsapp to read my contacts.

ok i finally managed to make it work... i am still unsure how but it worked!
for some reason syncing my contacts with my work outlook was capturing the data as raw or passive. i even missed a lot of info i had in my outlook. i stopped syncing with my outlook and instead uploaded everything through my gmail contacts and everything started to work normally. there is something called active contacts (i really do not know what it means).
