Hi, when i receive a Whatsapp calling the phone ringing but the screen remains black. Why?

What version of WhatsApp are you on? There's some issues in the current build with incoming calls that are set to be addressed in the next official release that are being tested right now in beta. - WhatsApp beta updated in the BlackBerry Beta Zone with multiple fixes | CrackBerry.com

Unlike incoming cellular calls (or other first-party "incoming call" experiences), we have no special access to control the state of the backlight or to display content on top of the lock screen.

As such, the best we're able to do is to generate a notification popup dialog, which doesn't turn on your backlight or bypass the lock screen. Unless BlackBerry opens up any special APIs for VOIP applications, we won't be able to do any better.

I believe we have similar limitations on iPhone. However, we're able to provide a better incoming call experience on Android and Windows Phone.
