I've seen it on BlackBerry Protect but that's about it, haven't noticed anything else, anyone else?

It prevents someone from being able to wipe your device and set it up again without having the BlackBerry ID and password that was originally used (essentially turning the device into a useless paperweight for a would-be thief).

I also saw it today when I was using BlackBerry Protect to find my lost phone. The the Anti-theft protection is a feature of 10.3.2 which complies with the recent California law requiring it on all new phones.

Since it's a law, I assume other phones have it as well, e.g., droids and I phones?

Each manufacture was left to their own vices to accomplish the "Kill Switch" requirement. iPhone has the iCloud lock, BlackBerry has the BlackBerry Protect, Android, well it has whatever it has. They may implement something via Google Play, but I don't know how useful it will be knowing they can be rooted and have custom ROMs loaded rather easily.

Got home last night to find my house had been burgled and my iPad stolen.

Went to activate the Lost mode, and discovered I couldn't! Apple had made it only accessible from other Apple devices!!!! Had to call my brother to get him to do it.

Thanks Apple. Glad to know my security means less to you than your policy of restricting everything to your own ecosystem.

My Z30 was with me so was fine, but I checked protect.blackberry.com, and yup, it works with any browser. Once again, BlackBerry does it better...
