The reason I ask is mine seems to have been activated indicating contact with moisture but my phone was never seen water and is not malfunctioning at all

Could this have been activated by high humidity? Or during application of a screen protector which requires spraying of some sort of liquid during application?

If it has turned pink, it has probably been exposed to humidity, possibly from being in the bathroom while showering, or even sweat evaporation if close to the body for an extended period of time.

You absolutely sure that's the moisture indicator and not some stickers covering screws for warranty protection?

    Cottonakin,

You are likely right. Google has brought this point up....

those blue indicators are not water dammage indicators they are warrenty stickers over 2 screws, if they are broken it means then phone has been dissmantled by someone in the past

So I guess it's not the water damage sticker I am seeing.

    Cheers,

whoaa lol. just learned something new.. my entire history of having cell phones i've been told and have heard that a change in color to red or blue from white means it's come into contact with water. So what is this, some technological age modern myth lol?

sent from my BlackBerry 9350! :-]
