There are not a lot of options for Z30 cases as most of you Z30 owners know, let alone a nice pouch case, so my search took me outside the proverbial box.

I recently came across a review for the Ventev Glide for the Samsung S5 over at Android Central. Ventev’s company profile states its focus on “designing, engineering, and developing intelligent and exciting products that cover the wireless spectrum.”

Online the Black Glide pouch case looked by all appearances like a very well made leather pouch case from materials reminiscent of the BlackBerry 9930/9900 Bold Pouch case. That’s a good start, and I also knew that the footprint of the Z30 and the S5 are almost identical. Now I was intrigued.

In late August the price for the Glide in both Camel and Black versions were reduced from 39.00 to just less than 19.00 so I pulled the trigger on the two versions offered. I was that confident this case would fit the Z30.

My order arrived today and to my delight they are exactly as advertised in the quality department. The smell of rich leather filled the air the moment I opened the box and the Z30 fits like the Glide was made for it.

The only caveat I would include here is that the Glide case IS stitched leather so there is always the possibility that the size, on a case-by-case basis [no pun intended] may vary slightly giving you a slightly snug or slightly loose fit. Both my cases fit perfect though.

If you were looking for a pouch case for your Z30 I would definitely check out the Ventev Glide. It may be on sale again soon, so watch for it…. over at Android Central.

Edit: Pictured with the Z30 resting inside. When the magnetic strap is released the Z pops up gently about a 1/2 inch to allow an easy extraction of the Z.

I can only attest to the 9900/9930 pouch and the Z10 pouch. Compared to the 9900/9930 I would say that the Glide is extremely similar or slightly better.

OTOH The BlackBerry OEM pouch I bought for the Z10 was just plain crap.

If it had a belt clip with swivel I would be on this right away but sadly no.

The BlackBerry belt clip swivel for the Z30 is fine though. It's well made.

Haha I bought the Z30 pouch the other day from amazon cause it was only $9. Guess I'm going shopping again. Lol
