Hi,

Just a report on my Z30 battery life.
Got 2.5 days from a full charge.
Have this for 2 weeks now, and no issues.

But just to plan ahead in case the battery cannot hold a charge anymore >>>

Is it possible for a local mobile shop or service shop to replace a Z30 battery?
Of course, the first thing I would suggest, is that one needs to ask first if they can do it.
Another concern is, that they might have a hard time ordering the battery itself....

What are your suggestions?

Grief, you've only had the Z30 for two weeks. Stop worrying about the battery, it will be ok for at least a couple of years. Maybe even three.

Just enjoy what you've got.

Having said that, the Z30 is modular and the battery and other parts are easy to replace and readily available for a low price.

Quite worrying. I usually keep my BlackBerry's for 3 or more years. I have never had a battery problem.

There's a video of a member here doing a teardown of the Z30 to replace his screen. He also shows the additional steps to replace the battery.

It looks quite simple if you have the proper tools.
