Wondering if anyone could help. Does the unlocked Z30 do updates with your carrier or does blackberry do the updates? And does the sta 100-5 work well on tmobile? I know it's missing a couple of LTE bands.

I am on T mobile and it works great. There are lots of threads that say the same thing. If you have an unbranded and unlocked phone (for example from shop BlackBerry ) , then you will get your updates directly from BlackBerry.

Is it a new, unused BlackBerry Z30?
If so, create a BBID and use it to log in.

I'm not sure you are in the correct thread (this thread is about devices that are not locked or tied to a branded carrier).

But in any event, is this a new Z30? Did you create a BB ID?
