I have the z10 and the q10 but was thinking about either getting the z30 or the passport. Lately I've been leaning towards the z30 because of the price and the bigger screen. Don't really know about the size of the passport or the price it's gonna cost me to get it. Decisions.

Forget the Passport, except the specs as a phone is almost impossible to live with it....the size is against the smartphone nature .
Take the Z30!

After having the Z10 for over a year and just pulling the trigger on the Z30 about 2 weeks ago, this phone is where it's at. The ultimate BlackBerry 10 experience. This is what they should have launched with. It just does everything better and is so Beautiful. The one and only gripe that I had was that the Z30 screen, although bigger, isn't as good looking as the Z10. After a few days with her though, I don't care or notice. It was definitely worth it. Get it. Do it. Now.

It's funny how perceptions can vary. I agree with you but find the z30 screen is so much more vibrant (and I loved my z10!). After a few days of using the z30, my,z10 looked washed out. I was surprised to find that despite the loss in ppi (and hesitating on getting the 30 because if that) I find NO perceptible difference in daily use. Also in a side by side in bright sun, the 10 is only slightly easier to read...and I'm not looking for shade any more with my 30 than my 10. I'm so glad I grabbed it before Verizon dropped it!

Sorry, wrong. Only the Verizon Z30 (STA100-3) has QI Wireless charging. None of the other Z30's have it.

Ack, you're right. For some great I thought -5's were the wireless charging models :S Thanks for the clarification.

I thought the same thing about my Z30. I like the screen more than the Z10. The colors look more vibrant on the Z30 to me also. I bought a couple of Verizon Z30's a couple of months ago. I'm really glad I did.

I bought a Z30 to try when I already had a Q10. And I just could not get used to the BlackBerry touch keyboard.

As great as the touch keyboard is, I just cannot type without looking at the keyboard.

The beauty of BB10 keyboard is that I almost never type full sentences on it. I type one or two letters, it suggests the word and I then flick it up. My phone thinks faster than I can type. It's amazing.

I'm with you on this plan. I fully intend on snapping up a Z30 for cheap once the Passport has hit the market.

It will be a good transition phone until BlackBerry decides to put out an upgraded Z10 or Z30.

I bought the Z10 the day it came out, absolutely loved it. With all the updates to the OS that phone was my favorite BlackBerry device until I picked up the Q10. I never ever went back to my trusty Z10. Absolutely loved the Q10 & thought I'd wait it out until the Passport came to America. In the back of my mind I was longing to see and navigate the Z30 and when shopblackberry discounted the device I jumped on it.
Look, all the reviews, accolades, and fanfare associated with this device cower in the face of seeing, feeling, and using it. This phone is a BEAST. Words can't do it justice. Just buy it. You'll thank us- trust me.

I'm currently using a Q10 and find the trade off between keyboard and screen no longer worth it. Especially with the predictive spelling. I'm on AT&T and want LTE so have been trying to find a Z30 STA100-1 with no luck. There seem to be a lot of -5's and -2's. Any suggestions?

The STA100-1 seems to be a bit of a unicorn. Have you tried ShopBlackBerry.com yet?

I've checked shopblackberry.com and they're listing the STA100-5. Same from most vendors on Amazon. Seems to be as you've said, more myth then real.

Blackberry online shop also sells it for $500. Can you return it? I believe you have 2 weeks... Bell and Rogers really want to sell the contract and discourage outright purchases with a high markup.

Too late.. wish I knew before. I dumped Rogers today anyways and went to Telus because they had a Passport and Rogers didn't. I guess I'm just an impulse buyer and my punishment is over paying haha.
I'll keep one Z30 and sell the other one and try and recover some of my 250 I put down on the Passport.

I also got my z30 last week after a long time with z10, I'm loving it, hope 10.3.1 will come soon,for now I'm on 10.3.0 and I like it a lot :-)
