Tell me the Truth Z30 owners. Forbes review is stating that the Z30 crashes a lot and restarts randomly.
Also that the boot time on the phone is ridiculously long. Is this true or a Troll trying to discredit the Z30

Just another useless troll article. It's all based on the z10 when it first came out. Also don't see why everyone gets horny for boot times. If it takes 50 seconds who cares, once it's on who powers off their phones?

Case and point "handset feels more useable than the Z1"

Great writer there, doesn't even know the actual models.

Actually the review wasn't bad at all. He just didn't want to give the Z30 a perfect score. He had some positive tit-bits like the case cover that has a magnet that turns on the phone when opened, plus he said the Z30 felt better than the Z1 (IMO, I believe the writer was referring to Sony Xperia.... "The weight gives it some heft and presence (much as it does on the Sony Xperia Z1, which also comes in at 170g), and it feels good in the hand").

Article seems pretty level-headed to me.

Don't be a pleb who denies all criticism targeted at Blackberry just because you're sick of hearing it.

It's not really a troll article.

Apparently the Z30 he got for testing was buggy.. and he likes apps, and BlackBerry World doesn't have what he was looking for.

I'm okay with this because I know my Z30 will have a leak put on the day I get it, and I don't use many apps on my BlackBerry.

I haven't been buying BlackBerrys for the apps... I buy them for the typing and messaging and phone calls.

I thought it is a very fair review and hit fairly concerning bb 10 weaknesses. As much as I like bb10, it can be improved.

I thought this was a fairly objective review. He may have certain biases but on the whole, i couldn't find fault in his logic or assessment. And, i was pleasantly surprised with the positive tone to the review coupled with a respectable rating.

Odd that he was having random reboot issues though... are we going to see the whole z10 fiasco repeat itself with phones randomly rebooting?? I would like to think not but after this last summer, nothing would surprise me. I'm guessing the reviewer is based in the US... would it have anything to do with the fact that the carriers down there haven't tested 10.2 on their networks and it's causing some sort of reset error with the device? I would be very curious to know if any other z30 owners are experiencing what the reviewer is talking about. Overall the review is fairly well balanced and almost positive towards the phone. Unfortunately because the reviewer mentions the reboots early on in the article, most people will probably stop reading right there and never get to the positive stuff....

The random reboots seem to be problem on these devices initially. However, I am hoping he just had a buggy OS. Not quite a troll article, though.

Uh, maybe for you. This isn't the first time I've heard this about the Z30 so obviously it isn't "false" albeit not a standard issue if there are those who don't experience it.

As is the way with new technology...

And, in spite of the many reports of Z10s rebooting when they first kept out, there are still Reboot Deniers here.
Because it doesn't happen to you doesn't mean it isn't happening to others.

Article is far from being a "useless troll article".
More denials and pointing the blame elsewhere. Sigh.

    i wouldn't comment because i haven't got my Z30 YET.
once i've got my Z30, i'll come back and comment.
in the meantime, if you guys doesn't have one or just heard from someone who heard from someone who heard from someone, better just keep your assumption to yourself.

any visual proof of random reboot?
i'd like to know the action taken to prevent just in case my coming Z30 rebooted randomly too..

Yep, my Z10 still randomly reboots. No matter if it is on official software or the newest leak.

In the last 5 weeks that I've had my Z10, it has rebooted about 10 times and probably has lost sound to videos a couple of times. Hopefully, the new 10.2 update will fix these issues. It is not a big deal either way, but is something that needs to be fixed .

I'm inclined to think but don't know for sure that the reboot issue could be related to certain apps. The sound missing on videos, ?, pulling the battery fixes that one.

Honestly, as soon as we get the official 10.2, I'm pretty sure we all will be looking forward to 10.3 anyway.

Boot time on my device is shorter than my Z10. In the several months that I've had the device it's crashed maybe 3 times, but I have been on early OS versions. No problems over the last few weeks.

Really? Folks said the same with the Z10. Many did not know their phone was rebooting until they checked the last reboot time.

This must be fixed. Otherwise the high return rate will curse the Z30 even more then it is.
