Just recently found a good deal for a passport. Currently using Z30. What is your thoughts about switching? Any glitches to have in mind? Recommendations?

I believe it's a good idea, I am planning to do the same, given the longer duration of the battery, if you got it for less than 500 USD, it may be worth it

Well, the Passport isn't the BlackBerry 10 flagship device without reason. If a good deal means cheap, then I don't see why not.

Passport is a beast.. very industrial and efficient. BB10 looks great with 453 pixels per inch

Thanks all for the response. I live in Europe and I have to give 100 plus my Z30 to get the passport. Reasonable I think...

    I think it's very reasonable.
You already know what you're getting in terms of O'S since you come from Z30 and the Passport really is a he'll of a device.

I did the same. The PP is significantly better. It takes a bit to get use to the kb but it's worth it.

DO IT! you'll notice that when you type there won't be a virtual keyboard covering half the screen, BUT you lose the awesomeness of the virtual keyboard of the z30! Lose-win or a win-lose based on opinion.

Also a better camera, and a capacitive keyboard, i could go on forever =)

Just did the move last December with an OG PP. No regret but you will need a few days to get used to it. But it is normal as the form factor is not usual.

    Hello, Mataras

Where are you from, exactly? Is your carrier proposing such a good bargain?

PP is an awesome device and I also think about it but as a non-native English speaker a virtual KB is a huge benefit.

I switched from the Z30 to the Passport. Took a while to get used to a PKB again, but otherwise the switch-over was seamless. Still love the Z30, but the Passport is a truly awesome device and you won't regret making the change.

I wouldn't switch because I don't like keyboard phones I used to like keyboard phones but after I got the z10 then a z30 blackberry showed me they have one of the best virtual keyboard ever

Thanks for getting feedback on this topic guys, I've been considering the exact same hardware upgrade for some time now.

I just hope I can get used to a physical keyboard again.

Size was an issue for me, was impressed when I first got it, but it is too awkward to carry it around, got tired in weeks.

It was hard to let the Z30 go but the big screen was too much to pass up. We were lucky to use the Z30. The Passport is worth a buy and time to get used to. After a while you will prefer it.

I also had the same issue I loved the passport but because of its size especially during the summer months when pockets could be an issue ,I found myself back to my Z30. It's kinda like a winter phone more pockets.
