    I've got a Square credit card reader, but it doesn't appear to work in the headphone jack on my Z30. Anyone managed to find an adapter that fits the z30 headphone port with the male port fitting the I-Phone jack style the Square reader uses or am I SOL?

    I believe what the OP is saying is that he Square reader does not seem to fit in the Z30 headphone jack. Does he need an adapter?

    If it's the same reader it should work without an adapter, however if it doesn't just ask them to send you a new one. Perhaps they've made some changes.

    The square reader works flawlessly in a Z10 at one of our kiosks. We have not tried it in a z30.

    Mine works on the new Z30....but it certainly needs to snap down into place.. the jack seems a considerably tighter fit than my Z10.

    There appears to be an extra "click" needed to put in a mini jack plug into the Z30 headphone jack, it may be due to the phone's built in FM receiver needing the headphones plugged in to act as an antenna.
    So try to push a bit harder on the card reader dongle, especially if it appears to not be inserted all the way.

    No. The Z30 headphone jack is no different than any other. Square works with my device with no problems (both card reader and app).
