So everywhere you turn it's Passport this Passport that..... rightly so, it looks and reads as though it's a mother of a device! and of course, it is the flagship device.
But, I'm sitting here, 10 months in with my Z30 and still absolutely loving it! Yeah my Bold 9900 was great but to be honest, besides the loss of a physical keyboard, which I've now adjusted to, I have nothing but praise for my Z30. And when 10.3 arrives it's only going to get better.
So, do I really need to upgrade to a passport, or am I just feeling abandoned? And now I've read that the white and red versions of the passport are being released at Christmas I'm starting to feel really envious.
Is it just me or do you Z30 users feel the same? And how many of you have or are planning to migrate to the passport and if so for what reasons? My Z30 is a work horse that never fails to deliver, so do I really need to upgrade? Thx

I loved my Z30 until I got my Passport. I Sold my Z30 And have not looked back. The screen on the passport is amazing and makes even the Z30 screen to narrow once you used the passport.

When I got my Z30......my thoughts......, 'this is the first phone I could actually keep for a few years, it's that good' and never thought it could get much better.

8 months later, the PP came along.

You couldn't pay me enough to go back to a Z30

I went the other way... Had the Z30 and switched to the Passport.. Kept it for a week or so and returned it.. It is a great device, but the size was too weird for me. Maybe if I gave it more time I would think differently but the Z30 just felt better to me.

I have nothing but love for the Passport... but it just wasn't for me...

Nope. Coughing up extra money for another phone, coupled with how well the Z30 serves my needs, and I have no reason to switch.

Kudos to anyone who has got the Passport, but I just can't see the need to upgrade phones every six months and spend hundreds in the process.

I decided to buy a Z30 after Passport was released. IMHO Z30 will be for keeps for me. I came from Z10 and Q10, but Passport size is too huge for me and my pocket. I usually use fitted jeans and put my phone on pocjet. I decided to get a Z30 because battery life is a major issue for me. Am happy with the Z30 and I guess passport will be an overkill for my needs.

Thanks for that info. I was wondering the same thing...maybe overkill....and I don't wear fitted jeans, but I don't wear suits all day either. No shirt pockets will take the Passport with a case. Then, it just becomes too huge to carry on my belt. Sad, cause it seems like a nice device.
Like BobPepe said above, it seems, that the size is a bit weird....odd...

I'm a late comer having only just got my Z30 about 3 weeks ago coming from a Q10! which I mainly used for the last year or so. I'm loving the Z30 for the common reasons others give, not to mention that it's the first full touch device I have ever had, and hence first time I've had such large screen real estate. The Z30 is as large as I will want to go for some time. I'm tempted by the PP but like others I feel that the size will just be a bit too awkward for me. Not to mention that I'm not actually a big fan of the PP's overall aesthetic, I really don't like the pointed corners. I feel like I could use the Z30 for a long time to come perhaps even beyond other future devices yet to be announced.

I absolutely loved my Z30 but the Passport is in a different league. For my small business it's the perfect mobile until BlackBerry makes it better. Love using the hardware keyboard again. I totally get the "Work Wide" motto. Well done BlackBerry!!

I remember when the Z30 came out and I almost bought it ,great features, but like you I only had my Z10 for about the same period of time as you,and couldn't justify a new phone purchase ,now it's almost 2 years and I could not resist the Passport,it's just too unique to pass up,starting to feel really happy I got One ,But you can get the red one ,I won't..lol

As a Z30 user, I looked at the passport and find the screen to be too small (because it's square). Going to websites designed for mobile phones look dumb as many of those are designed for long screens. I do like the better camera and specs on the passport, and I wish Blackberry would release a "Z31" refresh with high quality camera and specs every 8 months or so. The case, size, design etc can remain the same.

No doubt that the passport is tempting but the price of the z30 right now is just too good to pass up and it's a great phone as well im coming from a q10 so the screen Is just right for now and is perfect for what I need it for.

No, not if I can successfully move my VZW Z30 to 10.3.1. BTW, which is the best 10.3.1 leak out there for the 100-3? Autoloader is the easiest way to upgrade, right?
